Local & Global Outreach 2016-11-21T23:08:55-05:00

We are committed to partnerships

with other churches, individuals, and organizations both locally and globally to accomplish the work God left for us to do. We are committed to seeing lives changed by a relationship with Jesus in the Triangle and around the world. We know we cannot do this alone, so we eagerly partner with our like minded organizations to have an even greater impact.

We value long term relationships.

When it comes to partnerships, we value long term commitment and depth of relationship. Rather than taking a scattered approach, we have chosen to limit these relationship to ones in which we are confident we will be able to partner for the long haul. We are in relationship with these individuals and ministries. We regularly hear stories of what God is doing through their ministries (which you’ll sometimes even see shared here on this site or through other communication means at Northwest).

The Gospel is essential.

While there are great organizations doing incredible work around the world to help people, we have restricted our partnerships to people and organizations that are 100% committed to seeing people changed by the Gospel. Feeding people, providing clothes & homes, and teaching job skills are all platforms through which this mission may be accomplished – but at the end of the day, the Gospel must be central to the work we do.

Below you’ll find a little bit more information about some of our partners.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

Kenya Pastors
We partner with a network of churches in Kenya working amongst a people group called the Pokot. These native Kenyan men are committed to seeing the Gospel change lives by training new leaders and planting churches through the region. We are currently paying monthly salaries for as many as 5 Kenyan pastors!
The Hutchersons
Caleb, Nicolette, Isla, Ruby and Luka are serving with World Venture in Beirut, Lebanon.
Young Life
Young Life is actively involved reaching Wake County high school students with the Gospel. We are privileged to partner with them in this endeavor!
East Asia
A family we have partnered with is involved with a discipleship ministry on college campuses in East Asia. We are continually hearing stories from their ministry to 20somethings in an environment that is often times hostile to Christianity.
Central Asia
Another global staff partner of ours is involved in a church planting & leadership development effort in Central Asia. They have just begun their ministry through ABWE but we are excited to see how God continues to grow their influence in their community and throughout central Asia.
Serve Your City
Partnering with various organizations, we blitz the Triangle area throughout the year with volunteers to make a difference, build relationships, and love people like Jesus does.
Movie Night, Easter Egg Hunt and more!
We've hosted our Summer Finale and the 2017 Easter Egg Drop in years past as free events for our community. This is an event with no strings attached - just a way for Northwest to give back to our neighbors and build relationships with those around us.
Carolina Preserve
Throughout the year, families from Northwest take time on Saturdays to serve our neighbors in the Carolina Preserve. This retirement community is in our backyard and has been a great place for us to live out the Gospel in our actions & words.
World Relief
WR Durham is one of the organizations we have strategically partnered with through the years. From Serve Your City week to year long partnerships, families & Life Groups at Northwest have been partnering with WR to reach the refugee & newcomer community in the Triangle for years.
NC Baptist State Convention
We are not a "Southern Baptist" church - but we have chosen to participate in the SBC cooperative program. In doing so, we give money every year to be used in the SBC's efforts at church planting, the Baptist Men and their relief efforts and more. We're proud to be part of the work happening in our state through these parter organizations.
White Oak Foundation
White Oak Missionary Baptist Church and the White Oak Foundation are just down the road from Northwest's office and future church home. White Oak Foundation's purpose is “Caring for the Total Person through the implementation of programs and projects to address hunger, to promote home ownership and to establish economic self-reliance." We're thankful we get to partner with White Oak in this mission!
